COL VISENTIN
Col Visentin, one of the mountain peaks seen from Vittorio Veneto, is located at the steepest point of the southern slope of Nevegal belonging to the province of Treviso. It can be reached from Vittorio Veneto in 30 minutes (15 km).
The summit of Col Visentin, at an altitude of 1,763 metres, is in a dominant position over the Treviso plain and the Valbelluna, and overlooks the Fadalto, Val Lapisina, Lago Morto and Lago di Santa Croce, as well as Montello.
It’s possible to park in the ‘Parcheggio Col Occett’ if you want to reach the summit. It is a beautiful walk, but not shaded, so if it is a sunny day, stock up on plenty of water.
In just over one hour (it is 3.5 km uphill), depending on your physical condition, you reach the summit.
From here you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Dolomites, the Valbelluna, the lakes in the area, Pizzoc and, lastly, the Po Valley.
At high altitude you’ll also find the ‘Rifugio Col Visentin’ where you can have a meal or simply have a drink.
From Col Visentin the ‘Sentiero delle Creste’ starts, and you can reach Nevegal in, I would estimate, two hours.
However, it would be better to do the tour in the opposite direction given the climbs and descents. Starting from Nevegal and returning there, you would return downhill, a small advantage.
NEVEGAL
Located in an enviable position, just a few minutes from the exit of the A27 motorway is Nevegal (from Vittorio Veneto it takes 35 minutes) the winter resort in Veneto that’s closest to the plains.
How to describe the Alpe del Nevegal: simple, peaceful and verdant, with many walks for those who love trekking and a dense network of trails for those with a passion for mountain biking. Amazing views you don’t want to miss. The area that I prefer myself is the FAVERGHERA area. The most beautiful trails start from here. There are plenty of farms that offer their local dishes.
You can easily spend a whole day here, in summer but also in winter.
PIAN DE LE FEMENE
The Pian de le Femene is a plateau on the ridge of the Belluno Pre-Alps in the vicinity of the Col Visentin massif with a pass connecting the municipalities of Limana, in the province of Belluno, and Revine Lago, in the province of Treviso. It lies at an altitude of 1126 meters.The road leading to the plateau starts from the center of Revine Lago, almost 10 kilometers of hairpin bends, in all from Vittorio Veneto it takes almost half an hour.For paragliding lovers, there is a launching track in ‘La Posa’, which is more or less 3 kilometers from the plateau, which is also a beautiful walk.
Of course also here there are farmhouses offering their products.
