Situated in the historical part of Vittorio Veneto, the Residence Porta della Muda is located in a quiet yet strategic area. The residence has five apartments of different sizes. The residence is located just a few minutes from the motorway and 40 minutes from Venice airport, 1 hour from the Dolomites and 50 minutes from Venice.
Our Story
The residence, owned by the Casagrande family, is located in a historic position. This was once the northern gate of Serravalle. This gate is also known as Porta San Giovanni or Porta della Muda. (The ‘muda’ was the ancient name for the duty demanded in medieval times as a tax to be paid for passage).
The façade still bears the marks of the rifle fire of the Italian soldiers who intended to snuff out a group of Austro-Hungarians during the Battle of Vittorio Veneto. These marks were preserved during the restoration.
The renovation, long and meticulous in its details and materials, respected the constraints and dictates. They carefully maintained the historical characteristics of the complex, which has been declared of important historical and cultural interest.
On your arrival you will find Vanni and his wife Manuela, ready to give you the best advice on how to enjoy or relax in the surrounding areas.
Of different sizes, the apartments can accommodate from one to six guests. The furnishings are new and well cared for, essential so as not to overpower the historical character of the rooms. You will discover an ancient oven, a wash-house and curious niches. And thanks to the inventiveness and skill of Elio Casagrande, old objects recovered from the renovation and converted in a creative and functional way.
The five apartments are distinguished by five themes, chosen by the children of the family, which give them a light and cheerful touch. These themes are also reflected in some of the details of the furnishings.
Each unit has everything necessary to meet the needs of even long stays. Providing an atmosphere of familiarity and comfort. Equipped kitchen, relaxation area, comfortable rooms, bed linen, towels, TV, free WI-FI in each apartment.
