The Breeding Farm

Le Chiocciole is a FULL NATURAL CYCLE FARM for snails, run by Alessia and her family. It is located on a 5,000 m2 plot of land in Vittorio Veneto (TV). The breeding follows a strict specification that certifies the excellence of the final product in the gastronomic, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors.

The snails are bred in the open field, following nature’s cycles without shelter. No pesticides, chemical fertilisers or feed are used.

The raw material we obtain is identified as Italian excellence in gastronomy.

We produce with respect for the circular economy and environmental sustainability. Snail slime is the basis of our cosmetics line. It is extracted without harming the mollusc. It has the European COSMOS certificate, which guarantees organic and natural cosmetics that you can trust.

Circular economy
A complete system without any waste. Where everything is transformed and nothing is thrown away. Everything is reused in a sustainable way. Snail cultivation, dialogues profoundly with the concept of Culture.

Environmental sustainability
Snail farming produces no waste or pollutant emissions. The contribution to the greenhouse effect is very low, as is the environmental impact. The snails are fed with vegetables that are no longer saleable and would end up thrown away. They have a beneficial effect on soil and natural ecosystems. We respect nature in every way.
