LAGO MORTO
Lago Morto is just 8 km (10 minutes by car) from Vittorio Veneto. This spectacular swimming lake offers breathtaking views and in addition, a small playground for children and a large lawn for relaxing and sunbathing.
The coolness of the lake and the breeze blowing on the shore almost feels like a refreshing shower. It lets you catch your breath from the summer heat. There is good free parking. Also not to be missed is the legendary ‘Chiosco Paradiso by Bepi’. You can buy sandwiches there (try the panino col Pastin), have a glass of wine or beer and eat ice cream.
There is the opportunity to use the picnic tables and, if you wish, use your canoe or kayak. Your dogs are also welcome.
Lago Morto
During the year, it is very quiet. In summer, it is a bit chaotic and if you visit the lake on weekends, it is advisable to arrive early. The lake is well signposted along the road. There is a nice walk around the lake of about 7 km, not suitable for buggies as it is a dirt road with inclines. The route is definitely suitable for mountain bikes.
Also worth a visit are the blue lakes. These are located a few steps from the path along the route. With benches to rest and observe the mesmerising reflections of the water that is bluer than the sky.
All this is definitely worth a visit.
