DOLOMITIS

Dolomitis
Italy’s paradise for mountain lovers. The Dolomites are one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, as many people agree. During your holiday in Vittorio Veneto, you will be able to experience this beauty up close and personal; the most beautiful peaks and lakes can be reached in just one hour by car. The Dolomites are also part of the World Heritage of Unesco. The Dolomites are part of the Alps. From the north of Italy, they stretch across the provinces of Sud Tirol, Trento and Belluno to the 3343 m high mountain Marmolada. The South Tyrolean Dolomites offer plenty of opportunities for beautiful day trips around the characteristic rock formations and mountain peaks.

The hike around the “Tre Cime di Lavaredo” in the natural park of the same name is certainly a highlight. You can start this mountain hike from Lago di Misurina or a good idea can be to take a bus from Auronzo (line 31) or Calalzo di Cadore (accessible by train) that will drop you off at the car park at the Rifugio Auronzo. In the summer it goes about 3 or 4 times a day, so inform well in advance about the departure times. The holiday region Plan de Corones/Kronplatz has the most popular ski area in South Tyrol with modern ski lifts and a breathtaking 360° view from the top of the mountain of the same name. The lake at Alleghe, the “Lago di Alleghe”, is also worth a visit. You can walk around the lake or take the cable car up to admire the Civetta (3220 mt) from nearby.
I’d like to remind you that I am always available for further information.
